Do the basics
“If anyone wants to come after me, he must take up his cross and follow me” says the Lord (Matt. 16:24); “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matt. 11:28-30). The basics of Christian discipleship are called “The Precepts of the Church”, which are as follows:
Sunday Mass: Sat 18:00; Sundays 07:00; 08:30; 10:00 (Latin); 18:00

Exposition & Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament: Sat 17:00 – 18:00; Sun 17:00 – 18:00
Confession is a gift that renews the grace of baptism. This gift is from God and should be greatly desired by us. Did you know, the saints recommend “regular” confession”? Once a month can be a good guide for most people.

Catholics should receive the Eucharist at least once a year at Easter, preferably after confession. Receiving Communion weekly or daily is encouraged.

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting. On these days we have no more than one full meal and are careful to avoid any meat. In addition (with the exception of Solemnities) every Friday of the year, Friday being the day Our Lord died, we abstain from meat so as to enter a little into the suffering of Our Lord. When it is absolutely not possible to avoid meat on a Friday, it is advisable to take up an alternate penance, such as saying the Rosary, or performing some good deed. The obligation to fast and abstain is lifted for those who are sick, care for the sick, those younger than 18 or older than 59.
“The Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be His bride; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you” (Is 62:5). This bond between God and His Church is forever, faithful, and fruitful. For this reason, the bond between man and woman, which we call marriage, is a participation in God’s love for his Church, and should also be forever, faithful and fruitful. (To be fruitful includes not using artificial birth control.) The Church does her best to support couples in this heroic aspect of Christian discipleship. ”Our Lord connected money to discipleship. He regularly praised the generosity of those who sacrificially gave their resources to God. Christians continue this by giving a percentage of their income for the work of the Church. This can be done by making a monthly contribution to the parish by way of EFT.
