Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry
From the basics of Bible stories for our littlest members, to LifeTeen for young adults, our youth programmes are firmly grounded in recognised Catholic curriculums. These not only prepare them for the reception of Sacraments, but tackle the many difficult issues they will face growing up in a modern world.
Most classes begin on the weekend of 31 January-2 February. Parents are asked to kindly register their children for 2025 classes. Queries may be directed to the parish office.

Children's Liturgy
Basics of Catholic Catechism: Gr 1 and 2 children are invited to attend a religious orientation programme on Friday evenings at 5pm that lays the foundation for First Confession in Gr 3 and First Holy Communion in Gr 4.

First Confession
First Confession takes place in September each year. Children in Gr 3 prepare for this sacrament of mercy and healing by way of catechism instruction on Friday evenings at 5.30pm during the school term.

First Holy Communion
First Holy Communion takes place in November every year on the feast of Christ the King. Children in Gr 4 prepare for this intimate communion with Jesus and His Church by way of catechism instruction most Fridays at 5pm during the school term.

EDGE
EDGE is for children in Gr 5 – 7. Like LifeTeen, EDGE children have fun while getting to know the Lord, His teachings and His Church. EDGE children are encouraged to bring along friends from other Catholic parishes and Christian churches.
Life Teen
Life Teen is for high schoolers in grade 8 -12. Open to those from any religious background, each evening begins in the hall after the 18:00 Sunday Mass (19:00-20:30). At Life Teen, young people have fun while learning to pray and know God and His teachings. Life Teen leads children to encounter Jesus in prayer and the sacraments within the context of the God’s family, the Church. To join, simply show up in the hall most Sundays during the school term at 19:00.
