Lenten Appeal 2026

Special Collection – The SACBC Lenten Appeal is an annual fundraising initiative by the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC).  It takes place during the Lenten season as a way for Catholics to support the Church’s mission, charity, and social justice efforts.

The funds raised are used for: Priestly and Religious Formation; Evangelization and Faith Formation; Justice and Peace Initiatives; Education and Development; Charitable Works.

This appeal aligns with the Lenten call for prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, encouraging Catholics to give generously to support those in need.

The Bishop’s Lenten Appeal continues for all the Sundays during Lent and for Palm Sunday; envelopes are available in the church. EFT payments can be made to the parish account (reference NAME + LENTEN APPEAL. (If using envelopes please take a pack of six for the Sundays of Lent including Palm Sunday)
