On Wednesday 17th June Father Paul Pearson gave an informative and stimulating talk in St Bernadette’s parish hall, with a fascinating account of the history of the Toronto Oratory and a thought-provoking introduction to Aligheri Dante and his Divine Comedy. We are really grateful to Father Paul for encouraging us on our Oratorian pilgrimage, with the remarkable story of how a fairly recently-founded Oratory developed and grew into the strong institution it is today, with details of the community, apostolate and seminary that the Fathers run. The introduction to Dante was remarkable and provided perspectives on the spiritual life that made a real impression on us – the brief introduction to Father Paul’s most recent book (click here for his page at the publisher) made us eager to read more. Thank you, Father Paul, and we hope to see you again!
