On Thursday 11 July, the Newman Society hosted an evening in the parish hall. The guest speaker, Dr Chris Wojtulewicz, Dean of Philosophy at St Mary’s College, delivered a thought-provoking talk entitled “St John Newman Henry on Practical Christian Living”. The evening concluded with lovely eats and a social. 

July is the month of the Precious Blood of Jesus, which we at St Bernadette’s honour with a blood drive. In support of the SANBS, we invite other parishes in Port Elizabeth to do the same.   How to show your support? 1 – Visit any SANBS Blood Donation Centre this month 2 – Photograph yourself

From June 24th to the 28th, St Bernadette’s hosted its annual Holiday Club in the parish centre. This year’s theme was ‘Covenants’. Thank you to all who attended (we hope you had fun!) and to all the who planned and assisted throughout the week. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
