Our annual parish braai is back! Join us on Sunday 4 December in the Oratory Garden, as we kick back and enjoy a day of family fun and fellowship. From Friday 28 October until Sunday 30 October, our parish observed a Forty Hours Devotion, a beautiful and solemn time of prayer in which the Blessed Sacrament is continuously exposed on the alter. Every year, you have generously helped us give toys and gifts to the needy. This year however, we feel compelled to prioritise the crippling food poverty of our Walmer Outreach families. Please help us to give them a little joy at Christmas by adding extra groceries and treats to the 100 food parcels we distribute in December.

The Port Elizabeth Oratory of St Bernadette’s Parish invites you to participate in the annual Forty Hours Devotion which takes place at our church in 8th Avenue, Walmer, from Friday 28 October until Sunday 30 October. 15 October 2022 Last Saturday at noon, St Bernadette’s parishioners met to pray the Rosary outside the church in support of South Africa Needs Our Lady, an initiative that asks churches across the country to pray the Rosary in October every year. Parishes across Port Elizabeth, as well as the rest of the country, participated.

Pet Blessing 1 October 2022 On Saturday morning a number of parishioners attended the annual St Francis of Assisi Pet Blessing in the grounds of our church.
